What we find on Friendswood roofs

The roofs, the storms, and what an honest inspection finds.

Older Friendswood roofs are layered, with rusted drip edge and brittle flashing. West Ranch roofs are large and complex; we find wind-lifted shingles on exposed slopes and builder valleys without membrane.

Friendswood is squarely in hurricane country — Ike, Harvey, and Beryl all took roofs here. We install every roof to the high-wind spec with sealed starters and six nails per shingle. West Ranch and Friendswood Lakes have HOA color review.

Friendswood is 30 minutes from our office. Inspections are usually available within a few days.

  • “Bluebonnet Exteriors were wonderful! They gave a competitive quote and offer very good quality windows. The installation team with Carlos was also great! They taped everything off well, took their time installing - did not rush through, and cleaned up very well when they were finished! We have received so many compliments and questions on what company we used. I would definitely recommend! Thank you for our beautiful windows!”

Friendswood questions

Good to know before your inspection.

Do you install hurricane-rated roofs in Friendswood?

Every roof we install meets the manufacturer's 130-mph wind rating: six nails per shingle, sealed starter strips at eaves and rakes, and hand-sealed ridge caps. On the most exposed Friendswood elevations we also recommend ice-and-water membrane at all eaves.

Do you help with hail and wind insurance claims?

Yes. We document storm damage with photos and measurements, meet your adjuster on site, and build the scope so nothing is missed. You pay your deductible; we never waive or 'absorb' it because that is insurance fraud under Texas law.

Which shingles do you recommend for Houston?

Owens Corning Duration and TAMKO Heritage architectural shingles. Both carry 130-mph wind ratings when installed to spec, resist algae streaking in our humidity, and come in colors that match Houston brick and stone. We do not install GAF or CertainTeed.
