Bluebonnet Exteriors HTX started with a single principle: do the work yourself, with your own crews, on homes you treat like family. Over 18 years later, we still do — owner-operated, and we never subcontract a single roof.

With over 18 years in the business, Doug started Bluebonnet Exteriors HTX after running other people's roofs. He'd watched corners get cut on rushed tear-offs, watched storm-chaser subs disappear before the final nail, watched homeowners get sold a full replacement they didn't need. He thought he could do better.
Today, Bluebonnet is a small, deliberately capped, family-owned and owner-operated business. We roof homes across Greater Houston and the Gulf Coast — led by GAF, always with our own crews and never subcontracted, with the same care we'd use on our own homes.
That's not a marketing line. It's the actual reason the company exists.

Every roofer on your home is a Bluebonnet employee — vetted, trained, and trusted to work the way we'd work on our own homes. We do not hand your roof to storm-chaser crews, at all.

Sometimes a roof needs replacing; sometimes it just needs a repair. Our written estimates are line-item, and we'll tell you the truth about which one you need — even when the smaller job is the right one.
