Fort Bend County

Roofing company in Sugar Land, Texas.

Sugar Land's master-planned communities were built in waves — Sugar Creek in the 70s, First Colony through the 80s and 90s, Telfair and Riverstone in the 2000s — so entire subdivisions reach roof-replacement age at the same time. Many First Colony homes are on their third roof.

What we find on Sugar Land roofs

The roofs, the storms, and what an honest inspection finds.

First Colony and New Territory roofs commonly have two layers of shingles and the original 1980s flashing; we strip to the deck and start clean. Telfair and Riverstone roofs are reaching 15 to 20 years with sun-baked south slopes and failed pipe-boot seals. Many Sugar Land homes have tile or standing-seam accents that need proper transition detailing.

Sugar Land HOAs are among the strictest in Houston about shingle color and profile — First Colony, Telfair, and Riverstone all require architectural review. We supply the product sheets and color samples their committees ask for and have approved selections on file.

Sugar Land is a 25-minute drive from our Rosharon office; our estimators are in Fort Bend County daily.

  • “Bluebonnet Exteriors were wonderful! They gave a competitive quote and offer very good quality windows. The installation team with Carlos was also great! They taped everything off well, took their time installing - did not rush through, and cleaned up very well when they were finished! We have received so many compliments and questions on what company we used. I would definitely recommend! Thank you for our beautiful windows!”

Sugar Land questions

Good to know before your inspection.

Which shingle colors does my Sugar Land HOA allow?

Most Sugar Land associations approve the earth-tone architectural shingles in the Owens Corning Duration and TAMKO Heritage lines — Driftwood, Estate Gray, Brownwood, Weathered Wood. We will confirm with your specific HOA and submit the application for you.

Which shingles do you recommend for Houston?

Owens Corning Duration and TAMKO Heritage architectural shingles. Both carry 130-mph wind ratings when installed to spec, resist algae streaking in our humidity, and come in colors that match Houston brick and stone. We do not install GAF or CertainTeed.

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. One of our own estimators walks the roof, photographs every issue, checks decking, flashing, and ventilation, and gives you a written line-item price before leaving. There is no charge and no obligation, and we will tell you honestly if a repair is all you need.
